It's a hothouse in here...

cucumber

Well, here we are, week 26 already! This week, baby girl is the size of an English Hothouse Cucumber...which pretty much means that she is getting big, lol. She is about 2lbs now, and she is about 14.5inches long. She can blink, inhale, exhale and cry right now, and she is responsive to light.

Baby #1- 26 weeks

And here is my 26 week belly shot. I am really popping out quick now, i can't wait to see what i look like come my due date (sense the sarcasm?)

Pretty flowers...

Well, i've taken it another step further. I went to the greenhouses today and bought a hanging basket and a few Impatiens for my front window. Who am i!?!? I haven't TOTALLY killed my garden yet, so i guess i could to try kill (i mean nurse) a few plants around the house. LOL.

Let's take a nap...

It's been a long week. I've been so tired every morning, i don't even want to get out of bed. But it's starting to get better, thank goodness.

Today i'm heading out to Harrisburg to get my dress for Sara's wedding. Then, when i get home, i'm going to (hopefully) finish up the shower invitations and get those out in the mail either today or tomorrow.

Time is really flying.

I "Rutabaga" your pardon?!

Rutabaga

Well, we're already at week 25. I can't believe how fast time is going! Baby is 1 1/2-2lbs already, and she has finally surpassed the 14inch long mark. She is growing fast now. As i've read, she's about the size of a large/x-large rutabaga now. Baby can respond to noises and, as i've found out, voices she "recognizes" as well. She also likes the flashlight game, she enjoys following the light. Her kicks are getting more and more distinct to Frank too now...finally :)

Here is my 25 week belly shot. She shrunk a bit from last week, but i think she liked the Caribbean sun a bit too much, if you know what i mean. LOL.

Piece by piece...

Well, we picked up our furniture today. I'm so excited!! It looks exactly how i pictured it, and i'm so happy!! This brings us one step closer to baby. I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to my Father-in-law and Step Mother-in-law for building the furniture for us.

Now all we need to do is buy the knobs for the drawers and they are ready to go!

Finally home from vacation...

Well, we are finally home from vacation. It was a wonderful trip, and we almost didn't want to come home! But we have a lot of things to take care of, so it's actually good to be home. Believe it or not, i DID remember to take a belly pic while we were away, but it won't post! So here is my 24 week belly pic...

And another pic of our baby girl, who is already "Bad to the Bone"

Beach baby...

Well, this will be my last post for 8 whole days. We are officially leaving for our cruise in the morning! We are off to the Southern Caribbean for sun and fun. This will be our baby girls very first vacation, and she's very excited, lol. I will be taking lots of pictures, but i will not be posting my usual weekly belly pic. I will, however, be back next monday and i will hopefully be able to fill you in on everything. See you next week!!

Harder than we thought...

Well, today we did it...we started officially narrowing down our list of names. Keep in mind, we each have our own lists to cross names off of, and we are going to combine them when we get closer to the end. We started with a list of 40 names, and we both thought it would be very very easy to cut off the 10 names that i required for today. We both thought this before we knew what we were having. Now that we know it's a little girl, and we've looked at the list again, we found that it is sooooo much harder than we thought! We both struggled a bit to cut off 10 names...10...what are we going to do?!?! And better yet, out of the 10 that we each cut off our lists, we only had one that matched...wow, this is gonna be tough. I never thought it would be this tough to name a child. I thought it was supposed to be easy! Maybe she can have 20 names?!

One stressful step forward...

Well, last night i finally finished packing all of our clothes for the cruise. Actually, i had everything packed Sunday night, but in my pregnant brain fog, i had packed horribly and didn't like it...so i took everything back out yesterday and put it all back in differently. Hopefully i like this better, for right now i do. Now, all i have left is the stuff i classify as "other", like shampoo/toothbrushes/contacts/money/tickets/passport/etc. That will all get packed Saturday morning though. Packing was more difficult this time than the other times we've gone away, i think because of the fancy dresses, suit and fancy shoes that had to go. Usually we just have our regular clothes and flip flops, but Frank needed fancy shoes to go with his suit, and his suit (surprisingly) was pretty bulky to pack. We have enough room, it just seemed harder this time...i'm chalking it up to being pregnant, everything seems harder when you have a beach ball in front of you.

Squash anyone?

22 wks spaghetti squash
Today marks 22 weeks. Time is flying by! This week baby is the size of a spaghetti squash. She is 11-11 1/2 inches long and weighs about a pound. Her liver is beginning to remove destroyed red blood cells, and her fingernails are finally long enough to reach the ends of her little fingers. Plus, this week she can hear me more clearly when i talk to her. She is also more active now than ever, which explains the frequent kicks.

Baby #1- 22 weeks

This is my 22 week belly pic. I am really popping out now, and there really isn't anything that hides it. Thank goodness it at least looks like a baby belly now.
